This project was three proposals to develop three urban spaces in Lille, France. The first proposal targeted the border between Tourcoing and Mouscron and how can we bring these communities together. The second proposal concerns itself with the city centre of Tourcoing and how to rehabilitate the city centre. The last proposal is focused on Fives Cail Babcock. An old factory area where locomotives used to be build and is now being developed into a residential area. We discussed ideas of combining a general need and with the old railway infrastructure.

Proposal 1
We designed a hexagon grid system that would be laid into the grass which allowed various elements (eating area, bowls, vertical garden and urban gym) to be moved around.

Proposal 2
Rather then a business renting a whole building, the idea is that businesses can share the building. We are designing an icon system that will communicate the different types of businesses on the exterior.

Proposal 3
In the proposals for the residential development of the Five Cail Babcock area, there was no facility for food so we designed a food cart that would fit on to the existing railway around the warehouse.
